At Target Housing, we've been transforming lives through housing and support for over 30 years. As a charity and registered social landlord, we provide trauma-informed services that help people overcome challenges, sustain tenancies, and achieve greater independence.

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Housing Support Worker to join our Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) Project in Hull.

About the Role: You'll manage a caseload of tenants across Hull, providing practical and emotional support to help them maintain their accommodation and build the skills needed for independent living. You'll support people with budgeting, benefits, tenancy management, goal setting, and accessing local services, while working closely with partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred housing support and keyworking.
  • Develop and review support plans and risk assessments.
  • Support tenants to manage finances, benefits, and household responsibilities.
  • Help residents understand and meet their tenancy obligations.
  • Monitor tenancy sustainment, rent payments, and property standards.
  • Liaise with external agencies including probation, local authorities, and support services.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development activities.

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship).
  • Experience or understanding of working with vulnerable people.
  • Knowledge of supported housing, tenancy sustainment, or housing support services.
  • Understanding of support planning, risk assessment, and welfare benefits.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Why Join Target Housing?

  • 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising to 33 days with service.
  • Mileage reimbursement.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • Access to Westfield Health and Lifetime Financial membership.
  • Eligibility for a Blue Light Card.
  • 4% employer pension contribution.
  • Supportive team culture with regular supervision and development opportunities.

Additional Information: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, 2 satisfactory employment references, a valid driving licence, and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
