Key Duties:

• Coordinate implementation of ChildFund Australia's Innovation 
Model, including innovation processes, governance, portfolio 
management and stage-gate decision making. 
• Monitor and report on ChildFund Australia's innovation portfolio, 
providing visibility of innovation performance, progression and 
investment decisions. 
• Build and strengthen innovation partnerships and networks across 
universities, research organisations, civil society, philanthropy, 
impact investors, private sector and other innovation actors at 
national and regional levels across ChildFund Australia countries. 
• Identify and pursue opportunities to collaborate, co-invest, share 
learning and open pathways to replication, scale and sustainable 
impact. 
• Develop and manage ChildFund Australia's innovation pipeline by 
establishing mechanisms for children, young people, communities, 
partners and staff to identify challenges and submit innovative 
ideas. 
• Support innovation project teams to co-design, test, adapt and 
strengthen promising innovations using participatory, human
centred and child-centred approaches. 
• Support innovation project teams to generate evidence, capture 
learning and demonstrate effectiveness, value for money and 
readiness to progress through the Innovation Model.  
• Coordinate the assessment, selection and progression of innovation 
concepts through the Innovation Model and stage gate journey , 
working closely with Country Offices, technical teams and partners. 
• Support innovation project teams to develop business models and 
progress pathways to replication, adaptation, scale and 
institutionalisation. 
• Promote a culture of innovation, reflection, learning and adaptation 
by fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous 
improvement across ChildFund Australia and Country Offices .  
• Promote equitable, locally led and child-centred innovation through 
authentic partnerships and by embedding meaningful child 
participation, Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion , and 
safeguarding, throughout all innovation activities. 
• Review and refine the Innovation Model, process and based on 
implementation experience, user feedback and emerging good 
practice.
