DevOps Engineer I

• Build platform and tool for a great developer experience
• Design & Implement CI/CD pipeline, Integrating automated code quality, unit testing, and security scans.
• Automation for a consistent and reliable deployment with Zero downtime, backup, and restore procedures.
• Deploy applications in azure hosting environments like Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, etc.
• Integrate Application Performance Monitoring tools
• Operate Application hosting Environment for monitoring, application log collection, security hardening, high availability, etc.
• Research DevOps tools, methodologies, trends and upgrading existing practices and processes. 

OTHER

• Act as an ambassador for DP World always when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

5. jOB cONTEXT

The role deals with two streams – The day-to-day role is responsible for supporting all existing application environment upgrade & new releases. The person is also required to identify cost effective application implementation approaches in short time frame for providing the required new business solution.

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering with 1+ years of relevant experience
• Strong programming skill in one of - Ruby, Python, Perl, PHP, Or Node.js
• Experience in configuration management and deployment tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or other such tools.
• Experience in developing continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins / TeamCity / Harness)
• Experience in one of the public cloud platforms preferably Azure.
• Proficient with Git and Git workflows
• Good knowledge of Networking and Linux fundamental
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, DBs (NoSQL /SQL), and Cloud Security
• Problem-solving attitude
