Manager - Container Sales & Hire - Container Parks - Oceania - APAC

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Container Hire & Sales Manager to join our growing team!

This role will be responsible for the development and management of the Southern Container Hire & Sales division within DP World. It will establish market presence, building strong relationships in container sales and hire. Engaging with a wide range of accounts/clients within the cluster while also developing and managing key account holders within the business.

Key Accountabilities

• Plan sales activities to promote products for cluster

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives to drive revenue growth across the Victorian market

• Participate in negotiations and deal closures
• Provide pricing strategies and contract terms for hire
• Regular interface with prospective and current customers 
• Establish, maintain and improve key account management practices to ensure retention and improvement to customer base
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions

• Lead generation to build and support current and future pipeline

• Deliver all Customer KPI’s in accordance with the Sales Strategy/plan 

• Oversee the end-to-end operational delivery of container sales and hire in Victoria ensuring timely, cost-effective, and customer-focused outcomes

• Coordinate with operations team on site to ensure container availability, quality control, and efficient dispatch or collection

• Provide regular operational reporting and insights to support forecasting, planning, and commercial decision-making

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• 5-8+ years’ experience working in Shipping container operations.
• 5+ years’ experience in sales / business development in container sales and hire.
• Able to manage priorities, be well organized, methodical and deal well under pressure
• Excel in customer lead generation experience 
• Experience in driving and developing relationships 
• Excellent consultative sales and relationship management
