Responsibilities include: Room patients and prepare them for appointments Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information in the EHR Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures Administer injections, perform EKGs, wound care, and other clinical in-office testing as needed Ensure exam rooms and clinical equipment remain clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for patient care. Schedule patient appointments, provide financial counseling, and verify insurance information. Answer and triage phone calls, assist with patient referrals, and ensure timely follow-up. Perform clerical duties such as processing paperwork, verifying patient information, and managing electronic files in systems like AthenaClinicals What We’re Looking For Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office preferred Current certification or comparable relevant experience required, including CPR certification (must be completed within two weeks of hire) Additional Requirements Ability to follow directions, manage time effectively, and handle stress in a clinical environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive patient interactions with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 50 lbs.)
