Medical Lab Technician

JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician independently performs routine and special diagnostic procedures on blood and other body fluids from patients of all age groups served by SPH. The position routinely performs waived, moderate and high complexity testing (with an Associates degree). KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: One-year experience as a generalist clinical laboratory technician in a hospital setting preferred. EDUCATION: Associate degree in Medical Technology or equivalent preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Certification by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required.
