The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed hospital in Manchester; TN and we are looking to hire a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the hospital’s growing team. In this role, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical nuclear medicine procedures with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and diagnostic accuracy. Reporting to the Director of Radiology, The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for daily quality control of equipment and radiopharmaceuticals and supports Radiologists and Cardiologists through the timely and accurate performance of nuclear medicine procedures. Schedule: PRN | Days What You’ll Do Responsibilities Verify patient identity and review orders for consistency (examination ordered and clinical diagnosis) Review each examination for technical accuracy and present the completed examination to the Radiologist or Cardiologist, and care team following the procedure Prioritize patient care needs, including critical cases, while carrying out physician orders effectively Safely order, administer, handle, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols ensuring patient and staff safety Operate survey instruments for measurement and detection of radiopharmaceuticals Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements related to radiation and isotope safety, and waste management Deliver age-appropriate care across all patient populations, from infants to geriatrics Work independently while following written and verbal instructions Maintain familiarity with departmental operations and organizational functions Establish and work toward measurable annual goals and objectives. Promote positive patient, physician, and customer relations. Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain reliable contact availability as required. Perform other duties as assigned. What We Are Looking For Education, Certifications/Licenses High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Current Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification required Maintain all continuing education requirements to keep licensure and registration current Additional Requirements Working knowledge of nuclear medicine practices, procedures, and equipment Visual acuity sufficient to perform essential job functions What You Can Expect Working Environment & Physical Demands Possible exposure to infectious and bloodborne diseases Exposure to hazardous chemicals and radioactive materials Frequent interaction with patients in diverse clinical situations Fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple demands May require irregular hours and short-notice coverage for staffing needs Ability to frequently lift and carry more than 30 lbs. for short periods Regular pushing, pulling, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling If you are a dependable and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist who is committed to providing high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting a collaborative healthcare environment focused on excellence, we encourage you to apply today !
