The Staff Pad has partnered with a renowned hospital in Helena, MT with a vision to be the gold standard for healthcare and we are looking for an experienced Patient Access Specialist to play a key role in creating a welcoming, seamless experience for patients. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll combine outstanding customer service with strong administrative skills to support patients, providers, and care teams. Responsibilities include: Warmly greet and assist patients in person and over the phone Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and authorizations Collect, verify, and update patient demographic, insurance, and payment information Help maintain efficient patient flow by reviewing and managing daily schedules and ensures schedule accuracy Accurately document and update patient information, scheduled appointments and/or follow-up appointments in electronic medical record systems Provides patients with visit instructions, including preparation details, arrival times, required documents, payment expectations, and answers to general questions to support a successful visit. Ensure efficient patient registration to support smooth patient flow and on-time clinic schedules. Serve as a communication link between patients, providers, and clinical teams Assists with general office duties and coordinates with patients, provider offices, and care teams to schedule appointments accurately. Utilizing healthcare scheduling systems and templates accurately and efficiently Maintaining knowledge of HIPAA, patient rights, payors, and departmental policies to assist patients or connect them with the appropriate resource. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others. Preferred Experience 1–2 years of experience in hospital admissions, medical office support, scheduling, or healthcare customer service Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate, courteous service Demonstrates the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, honesty, and confidentiality Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus Knowledge of insurance benefits, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling processes required Education High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent preferred Why Join Us?
