Position Overview As a Pulmonary Function Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic respiratory care. You’ll perform Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) with a strong emphasis on precision, patient comfort, and clinical excellence while partnering closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes & ensure all testing aligns with established quality standards. What You’ll Do Perform comprehensive pulmonary function testing with attention to accuracy and patient care Maintain and uphold quality control standards and department protocols Support and communicate with patients and families using empathy and professionalism, especially during stressful situations Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care Accurately document and manage patient information using electronic health systems Contribute to a culture focused on safety, excellence, and compassionate service What We’re Looking For Qualifications Minimum of 2–3 years of Pulmonary Function Testing experience, including quality control practices Strong understanding of quality control practices CRT or RRT credential through the NBRC Active Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license required BLS certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months) Registered Pulmonary Therapist designation preferred The Ideal Candidate You are someone who: Thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment Communicates confidently and compassionately with patients and families, especially in high-pressure patient care situations Excels at problem-solving and working independently Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills Is comfortable navigating healthcare technology and electronic documentation systems Helena offers an incredible quality of life with easy access to hiking, fishing, skiing, and endless outdoor recreation — all within a welcoming and vibrant community.
