Referral Clerk

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX to find dependable and experienced referral clerks to assess insurance eligibility, benefits and facilitate patient scheduling through appropriate departments. Opportunities available in both hospital and clinic settings. What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities Process internal and external referrals to verify eligibility and benefits Receive provider referral forms and schedule appointments to ensure continuity of patient care Obtain insurance information, secure authorizations, verify benefits, and provide patients with estimated upfront financial responsibility Schedule consultant appointments and notify patients within the requested timeframe Copy and send relevant medical records to consultants via mail or fax Cross-train to support Business Office and Medical Records functions Additional Responsibilities Maintain confidentiality of patient records & adhere to organizational policies and procedures Deliver courteous, compassionate, and efficient service to internal and external customers Collaborate respectfully & effectively with colleagues and always represent the organization professionally Perform additional duties in a competent, professional, and courteous manner What We Are Looking For Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong verbal and written communication skills 1+ year of experience in a medical clinic environment Ability to walk, sit, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds as required What You Can Expect Competitive Hourly Pay Paid Time Off (PTO) & Paid Holidays Health & Supplemental Insurance Direct Deposit Fitness Center Membership Education Reimbursement Retirement Plan If you are looking for an opportunity to join a respected healthcare organization and contribute to a team focused on delivering quality care and operational excellence, we invite you to submit your application and learn more about this opportunity.
