As a School-Based Clinical Mental Health Supervisor you provide direct therapeutic services to students K-12 while supervising school-based mental health clinicians pursuing or maintaining licensure. You ensure ethical evidence-based clinical practice, oversee Medicaid-aligned documentation, and sign off on insurance claims for provisionally licensed staff under your supervision.

Provide clinical supervision to school-based mental health counselors pursuing or maintaining licensure

Ensure ethical evidence-based clinical practice aligned with Tennessee licensure standards

Support clinicians with case consultation, risk assessment, crisis response guidance, and treatment planning

Sign off on all insurance claims for individuals under your purview who are not yet fully licensed

Deliver individual and group therapy using trauma-informed evidence-based approaches

Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized mental health treatment plans

Assess suicide and self-harm risk, develop safety plans, and respond to mental health crises

Facilitate family meetings, caregiver training, and mental health education

Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation and treatment progress records

Collaborate with school counselors, special education staff, nurses, and community partners

Oversee Medicaid-aligned documentation and partner with billing teams on claims and compliance

Active, unrestricted Tennessee licensure: LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or Psychologist
Meets Tennessee requirements to provide clinical supervision
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Experience working with children and adolescents

Familiarity with Medicaid and private insurance billing and documentation requirements

Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches

Current CPR and First Aid certification

Clear background check and proof of immunization status per district requirements

School-based or community mental health experience

Experience supervising early-career or provisionally licensed clinicians

Training in TF-CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based modalities

Experience with crisis intervention and suicide and self-harm assessment

Bilingual capability: Spanish, Somali, or Arabic is a meaningful plus
