The Network Admin I is responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure in support of environments. This role is network-focused and requires hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices, routers, switches, firewalls, routing and switching concepts, TCP/IP services, and secure network operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across network and systems-adjacent technologies, collaborating with engineering teams and customers, and maintaining accurate documentation for existing networks, new implementations, and configuration changes.
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong Cisco networking experience with routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, and IPSec.
- Experience supporting enterprise network technologies and resolving connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
- Ability to administer, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall and security products under the network umbrella.
- Experience managing Cisco networking devices in secure enterprise or government environments.
- Ability to document network architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and changes using clear technical documentation practices.
- Familiarity with LAN/SAN networked environments, server connectivity, virtualization-adjacent infrastructure, and network dependencies across Windows and Linux systems.
- Experience validating security controls and supporting compliance activities in accordance with NIST 800-x and RMF requirements.
- Experience reviewing system, network, and security logs to troubleshoot and remediate issues.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, SCAP, or similar technologies is desirable.
- Experience with automation or scripting tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, JSON, or Git is a plus.
- Experience using Microsoft Visio or similar tools to create and maintain network or system architecture diagrams.
- 2-4 years of hands-on network administration, network operations, or network engineering experience supporting routed and switched environments.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
- Active Top Secret Clearance is required.
Nice to Have

- CCNA or advanced Cisco networking certification.
- Experience with VXLAN, EVPN, SDN, SD-WAN, load balancing, or advanced firewall platforms.
- VMware, VMware Horizon, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, Oracle VM, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, or other virtualization technologies.
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, LDAP, authentication protocols, and least-privilege access administration.
- PKI and SSO implementation or infrastructure experience.
