We are seeking a highly skilled BI & Analytics Engineer to join us in our Overland Park, KS office to help bridge the gap between data engineering and our analytics team. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into scalable, trusted datasets and delivering high-impact analytics solutions through our modern BI visualization platform and leveraging our cloud data platform.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in SQL/PL-SQL, semantic layer modeling, BI development, and data platform integration (Snowflake preferred), along with experience enabling embedded analytics and self-service data capabilities.
Responsibilities

- →Design, build, and maintain scalable data models (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas)
- →Develop and optimize SQL / PL-SQL transformations for analytics consumption
- →Implement and manage semantic layers to standardize business logic and metrics
- →Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across datasets
- →BI Development & Analytics Delivery
- →Develop and maintain dashboards, liveboards, and search-driven analytics (preferably in ThoughtSpot)
- →Translate business requirements into intuitive, self-service analytics solutions
- →Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting standards
- →Data Platform & Engineering Integration
- →Work within Snowflake for data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization
- →Collaborate with data engineering teams on data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
- →Optimize query performance and warehouse utilization
- →Embedded Analytics & Enablement
- →Support embedded analytics use cases (APIs, SDKs, or iframe-based integrations)
- →Enable external and internal users with governed, scalable analytics access
- →Drive adoption of BI tools through best practices and training
- →Governance & Best Practices
- →Define and enforce standards for:

- →Metric definitions
- →Contribute to data cataloging and documentation
Requirements
~1 min read- 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data analysis
- Strong proficiency in SQL (required)
- Hands-on experience with modern BI tools (ThoughtSpot strongly preferred; alternatives include Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Proven experience designing semantic layers / business models
- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Data warehousing concepts
- Dimensional modeling
- Data governance practices
Requirements

- Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Exposure to API-driven data access or BI integrations
- Experience supporting external-facing analytics products
- Understanding of data contracts and data product thinking
- Strong stakeholder communication and business translation skills
- Ability to operate in a cross-functional environment (Product, Data Engineering, Business)
- Proactive problem-solving with a focus on scalability and usability
