UNICEF Indonesia secures, develops and maintains strategic partnerships with high-value private sector partners (with a specific focus on contributions of US$ 100,000 and upwards) to advance the rights and well-being of children across the country.

To enhance its ability to meet the funding needs of its new 2026-2030 Country Programme, UNICEF Indonesia seeks to engage a Partnerships Officer to grow the number of Companies and Foundations partnering for children with UNICEF. The staff member will play a key role in the research, identification and securing of new partnership opportunities. The staff member will research prospects and develop compelling partnership proposals and instigate discussions and other engagement modalities with relevant prospects, in close collaboration with the Head of High Value Partnerships and other members of the High Value Partnerships team.

Under the guidance of the Chief of Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR), and under the supervision of the Partnerships Specialist (Head of High Value Partnerships), the staff member will be responsible for the further development and management of the partnership prospect pipeline and regularly report progress on the moves management of this.
The staff member will also work closely with colleagues in Programme Sections and Communications section in order to develop impactful and effective propositions. This is a Temporary Appointment contract with a duration of 364 days.

Under the supervision of the Partnerships Specialist (Head of High Value Partnerships), the Partnerships Officer (New Business) will be responsible for the following key end results:
1. High Value New Business Partnership strategy devised and fully implemented: The combined strategy to secure new high-value private sector partnerships is executed, and results are achieved on a timely basis.
2. Management and development of new partner pipeline: The pipeline of new high-value private sector partner prospects is developed and managed on an ongoing basis with new partners recruited each year.
3. Monitoring, reporting and evaluation: Regular monitoring, reporting and evaluation activities are undertaken according to the work plan to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement of country fundraising efforts. Results and reports are prepared and shared on a timely basis.

Duties & Tasks:
• Coordinate the development of prospective high-value private sector partners through to final approval; manage the implementation of agreed partnerships, in liaison with Communication and relevant Programme section(s); Under the guidance of the Partnerships Specialist (NOC), and working with other members of the High Value Fundraising team, assess the potential market and identify opportunities for new partnerships, for example through philanthropy, cause-related marketing, customer and employee giving, special events etc. and expand private sector partnerships and fundraising network in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines.
• Under the guidance, research prospects and develop feasible and beneficial partnership proposals and instigate discussions and other engagement modalities with relevant prospects, in close collaboration with other members of the High Value Partnerships team, Programme team, Communication team and others.
• Management and maintenance of the new partner prospect pipeline.
• Carry out administrative and operational tasks for fundraising activities, including obtaining clearances and approvals from PFP/HQ, due diligence checking, in coordination with the PFP Regional Support Centre. Assist in managing proper control of the allocated budget so that expenditures/income are in line with agreed work-plan and budget. Prepare in a timely manner all required activity reports, investment funding applications and other documents as needed by PFP RSC and PFP HQ.
• In collaboration with other UNICEF staff (Communication and programme staff), develop integrated information materials which support corporate partnerships and raise public awareness of UNICEF’s work in Indonesia.
• Participate in meetings and workshops and other appropriate fora with various private/public sector organisations such as events to network and facilitate the implementation of strategies and tactics for private sector fundraising. Perform other duties, as required.

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications or related subjects.
- Minimum One (1) year of professional experience in the relevant field or in business development and management with particular focus on fundraising / marketing / communication activities.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Desirables:
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
- The management of fundraising activities among private sector organizations/ companies/ individuals, through social marketing and advocacy/information/communication techniques and current knowledge of market research methods.
- Experience in working within business and the private sector, and/or with NGOs.
- Experience in priority banking or high-value client relationship management.
- Experience in budgeting and financial skills.
