The Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Senior Expert Consultant will be engaged to provide technical expertise and operational support for securing and growing high-value partnerships, particularly through private sector engagement, across markets in the region.

The Consultant will play a pivotal role in strengthening UNICEF’s high-value fundraising opportunities across Europe and Central Asia (ECA). The assignment will support COs and Regional Office (RO) teams in cultivating, winning and managing high-value partnerships, increase scale and quality of funding for children in ECA, designing tailored engagement strategies, and facilitating innovative approaches to maximize influence and income from businesses. Familiarity with UNICEF programmatic work and the ability to work across teams to design and deliver compelling proposals is key to the assignment.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Communications, Business Administration, International Development, Marketing or another relevant technical field

At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in private sector engagement, partnership development, corporate social responsibility or related areas.

Language Requirements

Fluency in English is required

• Proven experience in developing strategies and roadmaps for private sector collaboration.

• Strong understanding of the ECA regional context, including some understanding of health, ECCE, ECI, parenting support and violence prevention.

• Excellent research, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Excellent drafting, formulation, reporting and proposal development skills.

• Ability to work inclusively and collaboratively across multicultural teams and with Country Office, Regional Office and partner stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email and internet-based tools; ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

• Experience with Child Rights and Business Principles is desired.

• Previous engagement with the UN and/or UNICEF and knowledge of these organizations is desired, experience in CO setting will be of added value.
