How can you make a difference?

The People and culture Officer P2 will partner with managers and staff to support them in achieving their goals and strategies. As such she/he would benefit from the following specific growth opportunities:

  •  Enhanced Human Resources Expertise: The opportunity to develop proficiency in Strategic Human Resources, management (including planning), and business partnering, with a focus on supporting emergency and humanitarian initiatives.
  • Data collection and Analysis:   Support the knowledge management, reporting and decision-making processes through data collection and analysis.
  • Collaboration with UNICEF's Global People and Culture Team: Engaging with UNICEF's global Human Resources community to exchange knowledge and insights regarding Human Resources, including business partnering.

Under the supervision, guidance and coaching of the People and Culture manager and in close collaboration with other People and Culture team members the People and culture Officer P2 will provide support to the clients by executing HR services through applying knowledge of theoretical HR models, as well as understanding of organizational HR policies and procedures.

The Officer will be responsible for the following key accountabilities: Business partnering, strategic Human resources, support to Implementation of assigned HR service and learning and capacity development.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Minimum requirements

        1. Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Human Resources Management, Psychology, human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology and any other related fields.
        2. Work Experience: Two years of professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
        3. Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
  • Desirables
      • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
      • Experience in recruitment administration or talent management support is a strong asset.
      • Previous hands-on experience in planning, organizing and delivering general human resources, onboarding, benefits & entitlements, payroll, and/or offboarding support services is desirable.
      • Experience in Change Management, Organizational Development is considered as an asset
