The assignment aims to design, operationalize, and institutionalize a climate‑informed health intelligence and early warning system within the Ministry of Health that supports timely, evidence‑based decision‑making for climate‑sensitive diseases and health system resilience strengthen Rwanda’s ability to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to climate-related health risks through integrated intelligence, early warning, and evidence-based planning.

An advanced university degree in public health, environmental and climate science, epidemiology, health economics

•            A minimum of eight years of relevant professional work experience is required,

•            Demonstrated expertise in climate and health intelligence, early warning systems, and decision support tools.

•            Experience in designing, implementing, or managing projects related to climate and health data integration, risk assessment, or public health preparedness.

•            Proven ability to provide technical advice and capacity building to government counterparts, especially in the context of health ministries or public sector agencies.

•            Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•            Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.

•            Experience working in international or multicultural settings, preferably with exposure to the African region or similar contexts

•            Ability to work collaboratively with government, UN agencies, and other stakeholders.]
