Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met.
- Monitor and improve cycle time and takt time to enhance efficiency.
- Hire, train, develop, and lead plant labor. Serve as the primary point of contact with third-party staffing agencies, coordinating labor requirements, staffing levels, schedules, and workforce needs to support factory operations.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
- Implement and maintain 5S standards to ensure a clean and organized workplace.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
- Address and resolve any production issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Manage and lead all key main activities, construction, improvements, equipment installation, commissioning, etc on the Bessemer plant location.
- Identify and implement continue improvement actions.
- Help manage inventory and flag critical items ahead of time.
- Serve as the connection between the construction site and factory, managing logistics and shipments.
- Think strategically and propose solutions to gain efficiency, improve quality, and maintain safety as the top priority.
- Help the Engineering team reviewing drawings, projects, and propose recommendations to what is better for the factory operations.
- Responsible for opening the factory in the morning, since we have only one shift of production for now.
- Lead daily production meetings.
- Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
- Experience with cycle time and takt time management.
- Working knowledge of safety protocols (including OSHA regulations) and 5S standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish (conversational or higher) required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields, Law degree or similar, or equivalent hands on experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, walk and move throughout the production floor for extended periods, comfortable wearing required PPE in an industrial environment (noise, heat and machinery exposure).
- Proficiency with standard production/inventory tracking systems and Microsft Excel.
- Experience working with an Innovation and open mind work environment.
- Manufacturing and Construction Mindset, at least one year of experience in both.
- People Leadership, at least one year.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Previous experience with sheet metal fabrication (rollforming, bending, cutting) equipment and related processes is a plus.
- Bilingual: English & Spanish (fluent).
- Demonstrate strong values, positive attitude, and hands on approach to leadership.
