The Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) - Fisheries and Aquaculture Centre is looking for an experienced and professional Project Officer to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support environmental research projects in Macquarie Harbour, ensuring milestones, reporting and contractual requirements are met.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to project leaders, including scheduling, correspondence and project coordination.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities, including preparation of agendas, materials and action items.
  • Support project reporting, procurement, contract administration, budget monitoring and compliance documentation.
  • Manage project records, logistics, travel and fieldwork operations while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and partners.

­What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in project coordination, administration, stakeholder engagement or a related field.
  • Proven experience supporting project delivery, including coordination, reporting, stakeholder engagement and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy and support multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, workshops and stakeholder activities, including preparation of agendas, materials, minutes and follow-up actions.

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
