Upside Custodial Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY
The Upside Custodial Assistant is responsible for cleaning and caring for the Upside Preschool, After school, and Summer Camp at Park Collective. This team member will demonstrate characteristics that are in alignment with the Heights Church’s Mission and Vision which leads others to encounter Jesus, engage in their faith with Jesus, and be empowered to serve Jesus.
(Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time, 20-25 hours per week)
BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning and care of Upside to an established excellence level, with the goal to make visitors families, students, and staff feel welcome and comfortable in the physical environment.
- Attend to the needs of those at Upside from a custodial perspective.
- Cleaning of facilities including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning windows, dusting, cleaning restrooms, cleaning chairs and tables, empty trash receptacles, etc. to the standards established by Upside and the requirements set forth by the Arizona Department of Health & Safety for a Child Care Center.
- Stocking products in restrooms and other areas, including but not limited to paper products, soap products, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Assist, when necessary, in the set-up and tear down of rooms including tables, chairs, benches and various equipment.
- This position will include working weekday hours during normal hours of Upside operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned which may include, but not limited to special events (harvest festival, Christmas program, spring promotion).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a current, Level I fingerprint card from the Arizona DPS
- Must enjoy being around children and able to interact with them appropriately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and change-oriented environment
- Must be versatile and collaborative team player with other Upside staff with the ability to work independently as a self-starter
- Ability to lift and move 25+ pounds repetitively
- Some availability to work on a flexible schedule that may include some evenings or events outside of regularly scheduled hours.
- Demonstrate evidence of a Christ-like attitude in words and actions, with humility
- Committed to vision, values and beliefs of Heights Church and Upside Preschool, After school, and Summer Camp.
