Barista / Cashier

Urban Family Brewing is opening a new Seattle waterfront location in late summer 2026! Located on Alaskan Way, Urban Family Waterfront will go far beyond the offerings of our current brewery. We’ll be slinging the beers you know and love alongside craft cocktails, local wines, coffee and grandma style pan pizzas by Chris & Sandra Curtiss.

We are looking for positive & creative people who want to work in a fast paced environment and share our passion for making the best food and drinks possible.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available.

Experience:

• Previous coffee experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  
• Ability to stand for long periods plus lift and carry heavy items.
  
• Ability to reach, bend and move quickly during peak busy times.
  
• Current MAST & food handler's permit required. 
  
• Reliable transportation.

Duties:

• Greet customers warmly and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations and answering questions with a positive attitude.
  
• Take coffee & food orders, input orders into the point of sale system (Square) and fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
  
• Communicate between customers and the kitchen crew to ensure order accuracy including special requests and dietary restrictions.
  
• Solve problems, handle customer feedback or order errors with grace and efficiency, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
  
• Operate a soft serve machine including refilling and monitoring quality.
  
• Restock customer-facing supplies throughout the shift.
  
• Restock paper goods in the kitchen to maximize efficiency.
  
• Alert management when inventory levels for paper products or soft serve supplies run low.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all health department and food safety guidelines.
  
• Perform opening/closing procedures.
