Location: 1307 S. 900 W., SLC, UT | Type: Full-Time | FLSA: Exempt

Utah Community Action is looking for a strategic, people-centered Weatherization Director to lead a high-impact program that helps low-income households reduce energy costs while improving the efficiency, health, and safety of their homes.

• Direct daily Weatherization Program operations, projects, budgets, contracts, and staff while meeting Department of Energy and State Office requirements.
• Guide three coordinator teams through coaching, accountability, performance management, and consistent communication.
• Monitor production, quality, compliance, client satisfaction, and program outcomes; turn data into action and celebrate results.
• Build a workforce-development talent pipeline through employer partnerships, trade-based training, apprenticeships, and connections to employment.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex issues and strengthen collaboration with community professionals and organizations.

• Bachelor's degree, three years of managerial experience, and a valid driver's license.
• Experience with weatherization or a similar program, budget development and monitoring, fiscal reporting, and apprenticeship pathways.
• Knowledge of construction trades, federal grant cost principles, workforce systems such as WIOA, and training or curriculum development.
• Strong project leadership, organization, communication, public speaking, judgment, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead independently and collaboratively while serving families from varied economic and cultural backgrounds.

Preferred: A degree in construction management, business, accounting, social services, or a related field; grant-funded program or nonprofit experience; and a contractor's license.

This role requires professionalism, confidentiality, dependable attendance, flexibility, and accountability. Employment is contingent on required background, drug/alcohol, sex-offender registry, child abuse/neglect, and Head Start health screenings.
