Are you a pharmacist who enjoys building relationships with patients and making a meaningful impact in your community? Join Vail Health's Retail Pharmacy, where you'll combine the personalized service of a community pharmacy with the support and resources of a leading healthcare organization.
As a Part-Time Retail Pharmacist, you'll serve as a trusted medication expert, helping patients navigate their healthcare journey through prescription review, medication counseling, immunization support, and exceptional customer service. You'll work closely with providers, patients, pharmacy technicians, and the broader healthcare team to deliver safe, accurate, and compassionate care while ensuring compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide exceptional patient care in a retail pharmacy setting by accurately interpreting, verifying, and dispensing prescription medications.
- →Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, interactions, and adherence to support positive health outcomes.
- →Build trusted relationships with patients through personalized service and education.
- →Manage day-to-day retail pharmacy operations, including inventory management, medication ordering, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- →Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
- →Compound and dispense medications safely and accurately in accordance with provider orders.
- →Oversee specialty medication compounding while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- →Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals across Vail Health to optimize patient care.
- →Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and Vail Health policies.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is required.
• Previous experience with a changing work load, schedule, and priorities is preferred.
• State of Colorado Pharmacist license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate or Adult Immunization Training Program for Pharmacists Certificate preferred.
