This role is critical in ensuring aligned, low-risk, high-quality SAP releases by driving end-to-end deployment governance, landscape coordination, and dependency management across multiple internal teams and third-party suppliers. The role requires strong technical credibility, people leadership capability, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while maintaining rigorous operational discipline and compliance. ## What you will do * Define, implement, and sustain a comprehensive SAP Release Deployment Governance Framework across all SAP workstreams. * Ensure consistent governance standards and deployment practices across internal teams and external delivery partners. * Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs, SLAs, and quality gates for deployment execution and readiness. * Provide leadership and direction to 3–4 technical deployment team leads, supporting effective planning, delivery, and performance management. * Drive alignment of deployment approaches, timelines, and dependencies across SAP and non-SAP programmes. * Manage SAP landscape strategy, transport sequencing, and cross-project dependency mapping to minimise conflict and risk. * Act as the single point of contact for release deployment within TDA-based impact assessments. * Represent Release Deployment in governance forums, steering committees, and cross-functional decision boards. * Lead escalation management for deployment-related risks, issues, and delivery conflicts. * Design and refine deployment processes in collaboration with Release Planning and Support Enablement teams. * Promote automation, standardisation, and adoption of best practices to improve efficiency and service quality. * Deliver clear, concise, and timely communications on release status, risks, and readiness to large stakeholder groups. * Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuously improving team culture. ## Who you are * An experienced SAP deployment professional with deep expertise in complex transport landscapes and enterprise-scale release frameworks. * A people leader with proven experience managing multiple technical teams and influencing without hierarchy. * Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multi-step deployment plans across diverse environments. * Experienced in governance design, operating model implementation, and transformation delivery. * Confident in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to challenge constructively and resolve conflicts collaboratively. * A proactive problem-solver with a balanced, risk-based approach to delivery. * An effective communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to simplify complex technical topics. ## Not a Perfect Fit?
