Volunteer Service User Engagement

Join Change Grow Live as a Service User Engagement Volunteer and play a vital role in helping individuals grow, recover, and thrive.

As a Service User Engagement Volunteer, you’ll work closely with our staff teams to support people in recovery. You will be one of the first points of contact to our service users and visitors therefore a cheery and caring disposition is essential as you will be a key part of someone’s journey to a better life.

You’ll also help service users connect with wider support networks such as mutual aid groups (AA, NA, SMART Recovery).

 

• →Welcome new and existing service users into treatment
• →Ensure our service users feel safe and secure by offering a safe space to talk about their needs
• →Signpost individuals to community resources and recovery motivators
• →Listening to people and sharing your own personal lived experiences
• →Representing our service users
• →Conducting feedback surveys and feeding this information back to the service in order to support us in developing and improving our service
• →Facilitating service user forums
• →Liaising with the wider staff team

• Full training and ongoing support
• Experience in a professional recovery-focused environment
• Valuable skills in communication, assessment, and group facilitation
• The chance to make a real difference in people’s lives

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic IT literacy
• Strong time management and ability to work independently
• Respect for confidentiality and professional boundaries
• A compassionate, non-judgmental attitude
