Position Description:
Wade Trim is looking for an experienced leader to manage the talent acquisition team, design and implement strategic sourcing and hiring initiatives, and collaborate with engineering and other technical and business managers to recruit top talent across civil, environmental, electrical, and other engineering fields, as well as planning, landscape architecture, surveying, and related disciplines. Industry knowledge and established relationships within the AEC community are preferred; however, the ability to source hard‑to‑fill positions and build strong, lasting relationships is essential.
Partner with managers to understand detailed hiring needs and develop sourcing and recruiting plans for hard-to-fill positions. Build active and passive talent pipelines aligned with future needs and geographic expansion
Oversee the full cycle recruiting process and manage requisitions from intake through offer within the market segment or business unit
Partner with senior leaders to identify critical roles, assess talent gaps and build a strong internal talent pipeline
Collaborate with the recruiting team to ensure smooth scheduling and logistics
Develop and mentor recruiters and sourcing specialists, equipping them with the skills, tools, and guidance needed to improve sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and recruitment best practices
Partner with internal groups to strengthen our social media presence and practices
Develop tools to market our firm as the best place to work
Monitor emerging technologies, market shifts, and industry trends to inform recruiting strategies and ensure the team remains competitive and innovative
Manage and coordinate the recruiting program including applicant tracking system, employee referrals, recruitment projects, initiatives, improvements, and updates
Provide regular recruiting updates for regional partners, stakeholders and other recruiting influencers
Establish and analyze recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of- hire, candidate satisfaction, source effectiveness, etc.) to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for process improvement
Review, recommend and support policies and procedures to support and enhance recruitment effectiveness and elevate talent management efforts
Maintain a safe working environment
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, human resources or a related field is preferred
10+ years of relevant progressive recruiting or sourcing experience. Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), agency or professional services recruiting experience is preferred.
HRIS/ATS/LinkedIn Recruiter experience required
Exceptional organizational skills are required to drive the recruiting process and to manage multiple priorities and candidate pipelines
Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience presenting information to candidates, clients, and leadership teams
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect talent strategies to operational goals
Analytical mindset with experience leveraging recruiting metrics to inform decisions
Light/occasional travel
