Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver—The World's Most Experienced Driver™—to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver powers Waymo’s fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states.

Waymo’s cars navigate the world autonomously, but our global security posture is steered by the expertise of professionals like you. Safety is our foundation and is at the heart of everything we do. As a core member of the Physical Security team, you will serve as the primary architect for our investigative workflows, ensuring every case moves with precision from intake to resolution. • Liaise with vendor teams supporting investigations to collect and synthesize actionable inputs for continuous process improvement
  • Create and manage an internal mechanism for tracking service tickets and status updates within Kaseware to provide transparency on tool performance
  • Support investigative leads by serving as a delegate to lead investigations during periods of high volume or in the absence of primary investigators
  • Draft standardized investigative reporting templates and protocols that align with the specific requirements of cross-functional partners in Legal and HR

  • 5+ years of professional experience in law enforcement or corporate security investigations with a specific focus on case management systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in performing quality control audits for investigative documentation and evidence handling within a corporate environment
  • Strong experience collaborating with Legal and other cross-functional teams to ensure investigative findings are handled according to established standards
  • Experience identifying operational friction points and implementing scalable process solutions within a matrixed organization
  • A proven track record of managing high-volume investigative lifecycles and ensuring cases move through complex organizational workflows
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to draft formal, objective reports for legal counsel and executive review

  • Advanced technical proficiency with the Kaseware case management platform, or similar platform, including experience with configuration and status tracking
  • Previous experience in the autonomous vehicle industry or working directly with the security challenges associated with autonomous fleets
  • Professional certifications such as ASIS Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) or similar
  • Experience leading investigations into complex workplace conduct or physical security breaches within a tech-forward environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience presenting data-driven investigative metrics to senior leadership to influence resource allocation and tool procurement
