We want you to tap into your knowledge and skills you have in working with people bereaved through suicide and/or dealing with severe personal trauma.
We at Wellways work within a collaborative environment and you will be involved in managing community-based projects including planning and evaluation. Your expertise in critical response management including on-call team coordination, crisis support, trauma informed practice and self-care management practices will be vital to this role. Below is the selection criteria we will use to successfully recruit to this position:
- Experience working with people bereaved through suicide and/or dealing with severe personal trauma
- Demonstrated, well developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including public speaking, facilitation, consultation, and the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and with a broad range of stakeholders
- Experience and skills in critical response management including on-call team coordination, crisis counselling, trauma response and self-care management practices
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in, and a proactive approach to community development practice, including knowledge of local community infrastructure and network
- Ability to undertake collaborative activities, manage community-based projects including planning and evaluation

- Minimum Diploma qualifications in a relevant allied health or community services discipline including psychology, counselling, mental health, social work, or community development with substantial suicide bereavement experience
- Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Current Working with Children Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
