What’s the role? 

This is a chance to step into a high impact role within Westpac’s Capital Calculation Uplift Program. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll help improve how capital is calculated, reported and governed across the Group, supporting better decision making and stronger regulatory outcomes.

Based in Sydney, this full-time role offers flexible hybrid working. You’ll collaborate across Risk, Finance and Technology, digging into complex data flows and calculation logic, identifying issues and shaping solutions that improve accuracy, transparency and control.

You’ll work in a continuous improvement environment rather than one‑off projects. That means your work will deliver ongoing value, from fixing data quality issues to strengthening controls and reducing production incidents. You’ll also help assess capital impacts and support benefits realisation, so the value of your work is clear and measurable.

What do I need? 

• Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst in complex, data‑heavy environments
• Working knowledge of credit risk and regulatory frameworks such as APS112 and APS113, including LGD, PD, EAD or ECL
• Confidence analysing data, understanding data lineage and interpreting calculation logic, including SAS or similar tools
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and partnering closely with technology teams
• Ability to influence stakeholders, assess impacts and drive outcomes in a risk‑aware way
