OVERVIEW
We are looking for an exceptionally organized, people-focused, and adaptable Human Resources Assistant to join our fully remote team. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love supporting others, and can stay calm and solution-oriented when plans change, you’ll feel right at home here.

This role is perfect for someone with a background in event coordination and planning, hospitality, customer service, or any role where juggling details, personalities, and last‑minute surprises is part of the job. It’s well‑suited for someone who can confidently navigate the unknown, work well under tight deadlines, and is motivated by continual learning and development. You’ll take ownership of processes, contribute ideas, and lead projects that allow your work and growth to shine.

You’ll join a small but amazing HR team supporting 100+ global Team Members. This is a highly administrative HR generalist role involving data entry, reporting, auditing, and statistics, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities over time. Because of the nature of our work, confidentiality and professionalism are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Respond to Team Member requests with clarity, empathy, and a solutions‑first mindset, escalating special cases to the appropriate person.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and internal communications for the HR department.
• Conduct employment background checks and reference verifications (via email).
• Maintain accurate records, files, and data across multiple systems.
• Support general HR administration, including data entry, auditing, verification, and report distribution.
• Assist with ongoing HR projects and take on new responsibilities as the department grows.
• Coordinate the full Team Member lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, status changes, and internal transitions.
• Manage access, accounts, and updates across systems such as Google Workspace, BambooHR, and other internal tools.
• Support IT‑style tasks such as creating accounts, updating permissions, and ensuring new hires have the tools they need on day one.
• Create, update, and maintain SOPs, checklists, and process documentation to ensure clarity and consistency across HR operations.
• Participate actively in recruitment, including coordinating interviews, learning the full hiring process, and conducting interviews as you grow in the role.
• Develop skills across a wide range of HR functions, including administration, systems, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and people operations, with exposure to 600+ processes and tools that support significant professional growth.
• Play an active role in shaping our workplace culture by creating initiatives that support team member growth and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 2–3 years of administrative experience, ideally in HR, operations, hospitality, event coordination, or any role requiring high organization and multitasking (HR experience is an asset but not required).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and unexpected changes while staying calm and solution-oriented.
• Passion for HR, people operations, and creating a positive employee experience.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential information.
• Strong data entry skills (minimum 50 wpm) and high accuracy.
• Proficiency with PC tools and MS Office applications.
• A degree or diploma related to the role is considered an asset.
• Extremely detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive, you love structure but adapt quickly when things change.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client‑first and service‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
• Tech‑savvy, analytical, and comfortable learning new systems or tools.
• Excellent time management and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); a second language is an asset.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• This is a 100% remote position, and the individual could be based anywhere outside of Canada.
• Given the nature of this role, it is expected that the successful candidate will provide their own workstation, computer, and headset and have a fast and reliable internet connection. Certain roles will be required to utilize and or download company-approved software.
• The individual must be prepared to work standard business hours in the Pacific Time Zone.
• Due to the nature of this role, we may verify backgrounds, including conducting employment references, criminal records, and credit checks.
• Once hired, the successful candidate must provide a governmental photo ID and proof of residential address as part of the onboarding process.
