Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions

• Support the post production team in their work on TV commercials, social and cinema content. 
• Assist editors and assistant editors with footage searches, music searches, transcoding & logging, media management, editing, VO recordings, temp compositing and rotoscoping, motion graphics and archiving 
• Act as assistant editor on smaller scale projects or as a 2nd assistant editor on larger scale projects
• Aid in prepping materials for audio, color and finish, check hard drives into vault, ship to client storage
• Attend live edit sessions with creative team, take notes and provide editor with assets and elements as needed, export cuts and create postings for client reviews to share with producer.

Qualifications, Distinguishing Characteristics and Special Requirements

• Passion for the art and craft of storytelling 
• High level of creativity and professionalism
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, and to work collaboratively 
• Strong working knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Degree in film, media studies or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Firm grip on fundamentals of filming and editing techniques and formats
• Motion graphics experience a plus
