Work4u is seeking for a Group Payroll & HR Manager on behalf of our client, a technical company with international activities and a strong presence in Germany.
The selected candidate will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the payroll function for the Group, managing and coordinating payroll processes, and ensuring full compliance across all countries of operation, with a key focus on Germany.
📍Location: Athens, Greece.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide advisory services to Management, Department Heads, and employees regarding labor and social security legislation.
•Stay up to date with changes in labor and social security laws and implement necessary
measures to ensure compliance.
•Supervise and review the monthly payroll process for employees across the Group.
•Prepare and execute payroll for the company’s employees in Germany using the
German payroll system DATEV.
•Handle payroll-related communication in German with employees, authorities, and
external partners.
•Monitor costs related to social security funds and tax authorities.
•Prepare payroll forecasts and participate in budgeting processes.
•Compare monthly payroll results and investigate and justify any discrepancies.
•Communicate with consultants and tax advisors to avoid additional costs.
•Stay continuously informed about changes in labor law, especially German labor legislation.
•Handle HR-related activities in addition to payroll responsibilities, in close cooperation with
HR teams.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in HR-Payroll, with proven experience in German payroll.
•Hands-on experience with the German payroll system DATEV is mandatory.
•Fluent / excellent knowledge of the German language is required.
•Excellent command of the English language.
•Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
•Experience with HRMS systems will be considered an asset.
•Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
