UHC - Sterile Processing Tech (OR Outpatient Surgery Center)

1. Use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse.
2. Answer telephones and transcribe messages.
3. Communicate verbally, written and electronically with healthcare personnel, families and patients.

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certified Registered Central Service Technician through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) 

1.Graduate of a vocational or college Central Sterile processing program.
EXPERIENCE:
1.One (1) year of sterile processing experience.

1. Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards.  Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.
