As a Learning Experience Specialist, you will support the systems and content that power learning at Yes Energy, from keeping our Learning Management System (LMS) running well to building and improving the courses employees rely on to grow. Reporting to the Manager of Learning Experience, you will bring both operational follow-through and creative thinking to a team that is actively shaping how learning works across the company and beyond.

  • Salary range: $70,000-$90,000, depending on experience
  • Location: Hybrid (Boston, MA or Boulder, CO)
  • Full-time
  • Reporting to: Manager of Learning Experience
  • Travel requirements: Up to 10%

 

Responsibilities

  • Content Development: Build and update learning experiences by using outlines and materials from L&D leadership and subject matter experts across the company.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current on Yes Energy’s offerings and the broader energy industry to ensure learning experiences are accurate and reflect the business's needs.
  • Learning Engagement: Develop and execute initiatives to increase participation and raise awareness of the L&D team's offerings across the company.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Keep the Learning Experience dashboard up to date and prepare regular summaries that demonstrate the program's reach and impact. Analyze this data to inform engagement plans.
  • Learning Experience Administration: Manage course assignments, enrollments, completions, and system accuracy, and serve as the primary internal resource for LMS questions.
  • Content Auditing: Regularly review existing Learning content for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Yes Energy standards, and make updates as needed.
  • Program Innovation: Contribute ideas for how learning can be more engaging and discoverable at Yes Energy, with room to take on more of the creative and strategic side of L&D as the team grows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field of study preferred
  • Professional or applied experience in education, instructional design, or content development. We welcome candidates coming from the classroom or other fields where these skills were built.
  • Strong written communication skills. You should be comfortable writing for different audiences, whether that is a new hire, a subject matter expert, or senior leadership.
  • Enjoy picking up new software platforms. Familiarity with an LMS or e-learning authoring tools like Articulate or Absorb is a plus.
  • Strong Google Suite proficiency.
  • Curiosity about the energy industry or SaaS software products is required. Confident in asking questions to ensure understanding of new topics.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy across multiple workstreams.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Able to take what subject matter experts know and translate it into clear, accessible learning content that reaches the right people at the right time.
  • Digital Content Production and Publishing: Experience building, formatting, and publishing learning content in an LMS environment, with strong attention to clarity and quality.
  • Excel and Google Sheets: Comfortable using spreadsheets to track completion data, manage reporting dashboards, and organize program information.
  • Ownership and Initiative: Takes responsibility for their work, manages competing priorities without losing track of the details, and proactively flags issues before they become problems.
  • Effective Communication: Comfortable partnering with teams across the organization and building the kind of working relationships that make cross-functional projects go smoothly. Able to turn information from subject matter experts into digestible learning content for employees.
  • Systems Thinking: Understands how the LMS, reporting, and content work together as one system, and makes decisions with that bigger picture in mind.
  • Analytical Thinking: Comfortable reviewing completion data, engagement metrics, and reporting numbers, and drawing reasonable conclusions about what to do next.
  • Customer Service: Enjoys helping team members solve problems and providing timely support.
