We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to work on a project in the Health industry.

You will be part of a small, high-trust distributed engineering team building and evolving the Iris Health platform — a suite of telehealth products that power virtual 

consultations, patient journeys, and clinical workflows at scale. The platform is built on a modern serverless architecture using AWS, and the team places a strong emphasis on clean code, developer experience, and engineering craft. The team operates on Eastern Time, and we expect reasonable timezone overlap for daily stand-ups and engineering meetings.

This is a high-impact role in a space where the quality of your work directly affects patient outcomes. We are looking for an engineer who takes ownership, thinks holistically about systems, and brings both technical depth and collaborative energy to the team.

  Build and maintain responsive, accessible frontend experiences using Vue.js and TypeScript that serve patients and clinicians in real-time telehealth scenarios.

  Design and develop serverless backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, deployed via AWS Lambda, with DynamoDB as the primary data store.

  Take end-to-end ownership of features — from architecture and implementation through to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

  Contribute to infrastructure design and provisioning using AWS CDK (TypeScript) — there is no dedicated DevOps function; all engineers are expected to be hands-on across the full stack including cloud infrastructure.

  Work with AWS messaging services including SQS and SNS, understanding queue-based and fan-out patterns in a production environment.

  Apply thoughtful data modelling practices, including single-table DynamoDB design, to build efficient and scalable data access patterns.

  Champion engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD best practices, and observability.

  Be an active, communicative presence on Slack, contribute to daily stand-ups, and engage proactively with cross-functional teammates.

  Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical stakeholders to deliver features that genuinely improve the telehealth experience.

  Mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, pragmatism, and continuous learning.

  3+ years of professional full-stack development experience in a product-oriented environment.

  Strong proficiency in TypeScript across both frontend and backend — comfortable working in a fully typed codebase.

  Solid experience building modern frontend applications with Vue.js (Vue 3 / Composition API preferred).

  Hands-on experience with Node.js and building backend services on AWS Lambda or similar serverless architecture.

  Practical knowledge of DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases, including data modelling for production workloads.

  Familiarity with the broader AWS ecosystem (API Gateway, SQS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).

  Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong understanding of deployment and release practices.

  A collaborative, ownership-driven mindset with excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  Awareness of security, compliance, and data privacy considerations relevant to healthcare or sensitive data platforms.
