Founded in 2017, Lume is a transformative personal care brand on a mission to normalize body odor beyond pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they don’t have to think twice about odor. We are pioneers of the whole body deodorant category, with a portfolio of odor-blocking products including anti-perspirants, aluminum-free deodorants, body washes, body creams, cleansing bars and laundry sprays. Lume products are OB/GYN developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and often referred to as “life-changing” by our customers. In late 2022, we launched a men’s line called Mando, bringing our expertise to the men’s personal care category. From whole body deodorants to body washes, our product offerings arm men with the confidence to show up as their best selves as they move about their busy day.
Lume and Mando are part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. Driven by a mission to “Create Things People Like More,” the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.
We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it.
About the Role
~1 min readAs Head of Community, you'll run the creator engine behind Harry's, Flamingo, and Lume. It's a big role with a lot of room to build. You own the pod behind all creator and content work for TikTok Shop, the mass creator strategy across affiliate channels and platforms, and the entire influencer pipeline, from the first message to a long-term partnership. It all runs on one shared creator network and one set of infrastructure, with one goal: great creator content that helps the business grow and drives revenue.
The role sits in the Growth organization and reports to the Head of Growth, but the work is cross-functional by nature. You'll work every day with the Growth Marketing Lead and Influencer and Organic Social Lead for each brand, partner with the brand marketing teams on influencer strategy, and pull in the growth creative team and brand influencer partners along the way. Your team handles creator execution across all of it.
We're looking for a creator-commerce operator who thinks in networks, incentives, content velocity, and commercial outcomes, and who can partner credibly with brand leaders.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Own Mammoth's shared creator network across all three brands. Every creator conversation, from either Growth or Brand, runs through it so no creator hears from two Mammoth teams.
- Own the shared infrastructure: contracts, rates, rights, payments, and the content repository. Paid usage and affiliate are the default on every deal.
- Decide which brand a creator belongs to, when to deepen or end relationships, and resolve cross-brand conflicts.
- Own the TikTok partner relationship and bring cross-brand asks to the platform.
- Own the pod that runs all creator and content work for TikTok Shop, led day to day by the Sr. Manager, Community.
- Set mass creator strategy across TikTok Shop, affiliate channels, and other platforms: recruitment, activation, retention, commission and incentive design, creator NPS, and creator-to-creator recruitment.
- Build the path from mass creator to affiliate across channels to deeper partnership, so the best creators are found early and grow with us.
- Make sure creator content is used across every channel: paid whitelisting, UGC, affiliate, and brand organic.
- Own the whole influencer pipeline, from sourcing and first outreach through negotiation, activation, and renewal.
- Own performance partnerships through Influencer Partnerships.
- For brand-led work (large-scale influencers, brand moments), build shortlists, run outreach and negotiation, and manage engagement against the brand's strategy and talking points.
- Run every creator experience for Growth and Brand through Community Engagement: Discord, courses, coaching, webinars, dinners, events, creator trips, and seeding tiers.
- Partner with the Growth Marketing Lead and Influencer and Organic Social Lead for each brand. Take creator direction and briefs from them and turn it into creator targets and execution.
- Work with each brand's marketing team on influencer strategy: a dotted line to each brand's CMO, and close partnership with each [Brand] Influencer Marketing Manager, who owns the brand's overall creator strategy.
- Bring in strategy and input from cross-functional partners, including Creative Strategists and the production team on the growth creative side, and the brand influencer teams.
- Give brand Social Media Managers access to the network for organic creator work and reposting.
- Own the Growth community budget: mass creators, performance partnerships, and engagement programming. Commissions sit in Growth.
- Brands fund large-scale influencers, brand moments, and premium tiers (e.g. luxury seeding) from their own budget. The split is set by creator cost, follower size, and objective [TBC: thresholds]. Shared experiences like creator trips are co-funded.
- Own brand safety review with input from the brand teams, and route larger deals for Brand approval [TBC: threshold].
- Monthly Brand Creator Planning with each brand: strategy, priority moments, talking points, and budget.
- Weekly Community Operating Meeting: pipeline, outreach funnel, active deals, content delivered, engagement programming, what to scale or stop.
- Monthly Cross-Portfolio Review with the Influencer Marketing Managers: top creators and content, conflicts, budget, rights, and brand safety.
- Quarterly Strategy Review with leadership: whether the model is working, and team and budget needs.
- Active creators across the network, with strong creator NPS, engagement, and retention.
- Revenue driven by creators: TikTok Shop GMV from creator content, affiliate sales, and paid performance of creator content.
- Creator content reused across channels.
- Creator ROI and cost efficiency of the Growth community budget, with every dollar tied to a measurable outcome.
- Brand teams that see the Community team as the engine behind their creator strategy, with requests delivered on time and to brief.
- Creators who love working with us: they feel connected to the brands, make real money, and want to be our spokespeople.
- Brand safety: no incidents.
- 10+ years across creator partnerships, affiliate, social commerce, or growth marketing, with at least a few years leading a creator function.
- TikTok Shop and social commerce fluency; you understand affiliate economics and commission design.
- Growth marketing discipline and comfort with performance accountability.
- A strong operator who can build systems and shared infrastructure from scratch.
- Good taste in creators and content, and the brand sensitivity to be a trusted partner to CMOs, growth leads, and brand teams.
- Able to run a high-volume program and bespoke, high-touch relationships at the same time.
- Comfortable leading through dotted lines and shared ownership, with clear accountability to growth outcomes.
This role is likely not the right fit if you are a classic influencer marketer focused on celebrity partnerships and one-off posts, or an operator without the brand judgment to partner with CMOs.
