Custom Team at Texas Instruments is looking for an experienced, highly driven Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional custom development programs that bring innovative semiconductor products from concept to production.
In this role, you will work closely with systems, design, operations, marketing & sales, post-silicon validation, test, quality, and very demanding customer teams to ensure successful execution of schedules, deliverables, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Being in custom development for demanding customers, execution efficacy, timeline adherence, quality control and stakeholder management need to be ensured by the Program Manager.
- Lead end-to-end program planning, execution, and delivery for analog/mixed-signal/embedded semiconductor products.
- Drive program scope, timelines, risk assessment, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Coordinate with design, DV, layout, post-Si validation, test engineering, quality, packaging, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing and operations teams across global sites.
- Facilitate program reviews, technical checkpoints, and decision gates.
- Create and maintain detailed program schedules using appropriate tools.
- Identify risks early, develop mitigation plans, and ensure teams stay aligned to program objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present program status, key metrics, and critical issues to leadership and customers.
- Ensure programs meet TI’s quality, reliability, and regulatory standards along with customer mandated quality checks. Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions when needed.
- Collaborate with product line management on go-to-market strategies.
- Monitor cost, yield, and performance targets throughout the product lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of program/project management experience in semiconductors, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing.
- Experience managing SoC/ASIC/analog/mixed-signal or embedded product development programs (depending on team).
- Strong understanding (experience preferred) of semiconductor development flows: architecture → design → validation → test → quality checks → release to production.
- Proficiency with program management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
