As a Software Engineer in Athens, Greece you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world’s payments ecosystem!

The purpose of the Software Engineer is:

The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and delivers high-quality software systems and applications. The role contributes to product enhancements and new feature development across backend and full-stack components. The majority of work is performed on a PC. Occasional limited travel may be required, both domestic and international.

A typical day at ACI for a Software Engineer is:

• Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality backend and full‑stack software solutions.

• Create, review, and maintain technical deliverables across the stack, including API specifications, data models, and UI components, in alignment with established lifecycle methodologies.

• Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues across services, APIs, databases, and user interfaces.

• Maintain a solid understanding of application architecture, services/APIs, relational database design, and supporting infrastructure.

• Manage software dependencies and build tooling required to deliver robust and maintainable solutions (e.g., Maven, Gradle, npm).

• Exhibits good technical and business judgment and thorough understanding of how customers use the Company product when dealing with product requirements, complex design issues, and tradeoffs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role: 

• Higher education (Bachelor's degree) in Computer Science or related field. 

• 3+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring Framework

• Strong experience with relational databases and SQL.

• Experience or familiarity with Kotlin and/or Groovy is a plus.

• Exposure to modern frontend JavaScript frameworks or libraries; React experience is preferred.
