The Senior Director of Platform Engineering is a key role at ACI, driving and overseeing the technical vision and the overall management of the platform software development function. You will collaborate with internal teams to create and refine a platform roadmap, adopting a “platform-as-internal-product” approach. This role is responsible for leading and directing global platform engineering teams to ensure the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of platforms providing golden paths from development and testing through staged promotions to production. These golden paths:

• Reduce the cognitive load for software engineers in product development, giving them a quick and productive path to build microservices and containerized software
• Ensure security and compliance needs are met automatically, and automated where possible
• Reduce toil through automation and the automatic creation of artifacts
• Foster self-service capabilities for approved software engineers, avoiding ticketOps where practically possible
• As Senior Director of Platform Engineering you will ensure the team’s alignment with organizational goals, adherence to best practices, and the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• →Plan, direct and maintain key projects related to establishing PaaS based solutions.    
• →Leads, consults and collaborate with cross functional teams including management on all aspects of these platforms as needed 
• →Manages relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality platform solutions. 
• →Partners with internal teams to find areas of opportunities for automation and to modernize development processes and environments. 
• →Oversees the budget for the platform engineering department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. 
• →Stays informed with industry trends and technological advancements to provide best in class guidance on technical insights, enhance product offerings, and foster innovation. 
• →Provides leadership to a team of management staff, including hiring, mentoring and evaluating performance. 
• →Perform other duties as assigned. 
• →Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science and/or equivalent work experience. 
• 12+ years experience in software development or engineering or related experience. 
• 5+ years leadership experience required, managing large global teams and complex projects. 
• Superior leadership, mentorship and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong project management capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

• Standard Work Environment
• Majority time spent on PC (Phys. Req.)
• Travel required, may be domestic or international
