Developers build trust in a company through the people they meet and the experiences they have with it. We’re looking for someone to shape those experiences for 1Password.

You’ll lead our developer events and in-person community strategy: choosing where we show up, creating gatherings worth returning to, and building relationships that continue after everyone leaves the room. You’ll own the strategy and the details, from deciding whether a conference is worth the investment to welcoming developers at an event you helped produce.

You’ll start with San Francisco and New York City and help expand the program to other cities over time.

Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.

  Experience building developer events or communities, ideally at a developer tools, infrastructure, or technology company.

  A track record of growing an engaged community, beyond increasing registrations or attendance.

  Strong event production skills. You know how to make an event feel welcoming, useful, and well run, and you can handle the unexpected on site.

  Experience managing sponsorships, vendors, and budgets, with sound judgment about where to invest.

  Comfort working with developer advocates, marketing, and sales to turn in-person engagement into lasting relationships.

  Strong relationships and communication skills with developers, organizers, speakers, partners, and internal teams.

  The ability to work independently, prioritize well, and travel as the program grows.
