Full-time, salaried

You will help clients realize the business value of sustainability by partnering with them to integrate sustainability into their business strategy, operations, and value chain to drive business performance. From managing information requests and clarifying priorities to guiding review cycles, submissions, deadlines, and follow-up actions, you will keep each engagement moving while helping clients connect the work to stronger decision-making, risk management, operational efficiency, and long-term business goals.

For your assigned clients, you are the day-to-day contact. You will keep project teams on track, work closely with our technical consultants and service-line leads, and help shape proposals and handoffs when a client starts new work or moves into its next phase.

Responsibilities

~1 min read

■      Build and maintain year-round client workplans that bring reporting, assessments (i.e., EcoVadis, and CDP) strategy milestones, review cycles, and regular check-ins into one view.

■      Map out project phases, dependencies, client inputs, and decision points so the year’s work follows a realistic sequence.

■      Keep clients and internal teams aligned on timelines, priorities, handoffs, action items, and upcoming commitments.

■      Spot scheduling and scope pressures early, and raise them with options for keeping delivery on track.

■      This is a delivery role first. Expect roughly 60–70% of your time producing client work and the rest running the engagement

■      Manage your engagements against agreed scope, budget, schedule, and delivery requirements.

■      Do hands-on technical work as well as manage it, including drafting sustainability reports, running EcoVadis submissions end to end, building GHG inventories, running materiality assessments, writing strategy recommendations.

■      Coordinate the moving parts with our subject matter experts, including reporting content, strategy outputs, EcoVadis evidence requests, and assessment or submission tasks.

■      Do hands-on technical work as well as manage it, including writing sustainability reports and preparing EcoVadis and other assessment submissions.

■      Review work products for completeness and client readiness before they go out, and route technical questions to the right experts.

■      Track risks, decisions, revisions, and changes to scope or timing, and follow up promptly.

■      Be a reliable day-to-day partner for your clients, running meetings, sharing status updates, and tracking action items.

■      Help clients turn reporting requirements, assessment findings, and sustainability priorities into practical next steps, in a sensible order.

■      Translate sustainability findings into business terms (revenue at risk, cost savings, risk exposure, customer and investor requirements) and present them in a way executives outside the sustainability function act on.

■      Notice where a client’s needs span reporting, EcoVadis, and strategy, and bring in the right 3R service leads.

■      Carry client context and commitments forward from one engagement or project phase to the next, so nothing gets lost along the way.

■      Contribute to discovery conversations, scoping, and proposals, and help new work move smoothly from sales into delivery.

■      Share client context, timing, and service needs with sales and consulting colleagues.

■      Refine project plans, client trackers, templates, and coordination routines, especially for complex or recurring engagements.

■      Look for practical ways to improve how we coordinate, document, and work together, including with AI tools, while protecting accuracy and client confidentiality.

■      Manage several projects at once and take on other related duties as needed.

■      Proven ability to lead several client-facing consulting projects at once, from building the delivery plan to keeping complex workstreams moving.

■      Working knowledge of sustainability reporting, sustainability strategy, EcoVadis and other related assessments, enough to coordinate and deliver expert input with confidence.

■      Business acumen: comfort with basic financial concepts, business cases, and how sustainability connects to commercial and operational priorities.

■      A strong grip on project fundamentals: timelines, dependencies, risk, scope, budget, and action items.

■      The ability to build trusted client relationships and turn complex technical discussions into clear decisions and next steps.

■      Comfort supporting proposals and account coordination. This role partners with service-line and sales leads rather than owning those functions.

■      Proficiency with project management and client-tracking tools, or the ability to learn new ones quickly.

■      Sound judgment about tools, information quality, and client confidentiality.

■      Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organization, and close attention to detail.

■      Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.

■      At least three years of professional experience in client-facing project management, sustainability consulting, reporting, assessments, strategy, or related work. We welcome candidates who bring different mixes of project management and sustainability expertise.

■      Education in sustainability, business, consulting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred: hands-on experience with EcoVadis and CDP engagements, sustainability reporting cycles, cross-functional client programs, or proposal support.

■      Preferred: consulting experience, whether at a consulting firm or in an internal advisory role serving multiple teams or business units.

■      Preferred: experience developing, implementing, or maintaining sustainability management systems, such as an ISO 14001 environmental management system.
