Responsibilities
~1 min read• Work within a team of advisers and seniors to review and reconcile and allocate cash from multiple bank statements
• Support in the production of period end balance sheet reconciliations, analysing variances and making sure aged items are resolved
• Support in the production of query reports to colleagues, chasing up responses and acting on the information provided to resolve unreconciled bank transactions
• Make sure that financial integrity is maintained and that all reconciling items and adjustments are resolved within agreed deadlines
• Respond to queries via email, investigating issues and resolving them in a timely manner
• Assist in the production and review of process documentation and supporting with training
• Train new and existing team members, providing support and guidance
• Provide regular updates to team managers about any outstanding issues, and escalate problems where necessary
• Previous accountancy and reconciliations experience
• The ability to manage a large volume of transactions and understand complex processes
• Balance sheet preparation, reporting risks and opportunities
• A high level of attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and some experience of using SAP
• Great communication skills
