84.51° knows customers, and we know how to connect you. Using a sophisticated, proprietary suite of tools and technology, we turn customer data into actionable knowledge. With unparalleled customer data and predictive analytics capabilities, we deliver personalized marketing strategies and ensure the best experience for customers of Kroger and more than 300 consumer packaged goods companies. We put the customer at the center of everything we do, resulting in a more dynamic, informed and personal approach to driving customer loyalty.

The Senior Product Manager, Measurement Research, will shape how Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM) proves the value of advertising for the brands we work with. KPM’s closed-loop measurement, built on Kroger’s first-party loyalty data, is a core reason brands invest with us. This role will own the strategy and delivery of new measurement products, helping KPM measure more of its media, deliver results faster, and offer the metrics brands care about most.

You will partner closely with data science, engineering, commercial and platform teams to turn new measurement methods into scalable, easy-to-use products. You will work alongside the product manager who owns our core measurement platform, and together you will deliver a measurement experience that is trusted, fast and consistent across every channel KPM offers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for new measurement capabilities, such as incrementality for new ad formats, improving speed to insights, and owning roll out of new measurement metrics.
  • Partner with data science to take new measurement methods from research to launch, defining requirements, success criteria and the path to scale.
  • Lead discovery with internal teams and brands to understand which results they need, how quickly and where, and use those insights to set priorities.
  • Work with the measurement platform product manager and engineering to make sure new methods are built in a standardized way and delivered consistently.
  • Plan and manage new product launches, including betas, general release, and changes to how existing results are calculated, with clear communication and enablement for sales and client teams.
  • Partner with platform teams to bring measurement results into the places brands plan and buy media. Consulting on UI, dashboard experiences, reporting, and API delivery.
  • Clearly communicate the value, trade-offs and status of measurement work to leaders and stakeholders, translating between business and technical audiences.
  • Stay current on industry measurement standards and competitor approaches, and bring that perspective into product decisions.
  • Lead the development, championing and prioritizing of a team backlog, based on value, viability and the needs of the business.
  • Manage work with a product mindset, focusing on outcomes over outputs, the problems to solve and the key metrics of success.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in product management for data, analytics, advertising or measurement products
  • Working knowledge of how marketing results are measured, such as attribution, incrementality, test-and-control experiments and marketing mix models; retail media experience is a plus
  • Comfortable partnering with data scientists and translating complex methods into clear product requirements and plain-language explanations
  • Effective managing cross-functional software development teams in an agile environment
  • Effective managing end-to-end product development and releases, including beta and general release management
  • Stakeholder management skills: effective in building and managing stakeholder relationships to influence and drive change
  • Problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills; comfortable using data to inform product decisions
  • Comfort with ambiguity: remains confident, positive and resourceful in the face of ambiguity and unexpected results
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences
  • Technical acumen: grasps the technical details needed to lead a team and product
  • Exhibits qualities of, and has proven to be, a great teammate
  • 4+ years relevant experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
