Recommend time standards and process improvements. Assist with the development of methods and casting design. Implement safety and ergonomic improvements working closely with supervisors. Analyze, plan, design, construct, and apply tools, methods, and procedures necessary to increase manufacturing productivity. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers while promoting a “People First” approach.
  • Conducts observation and analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine time-and-motion requirements.
  • Analyzes work study data and equipment specifications to establish time and production standards to be used in costing and labor reporting.
  • Change routing sequence of products because of machine changes, design changes, quality enhancement, ergonomic improvement, etc.
  • Troubleshoot shop problems associated with new or existing tooling and equipment.
  • Process change orders.
  • Assist in the training of all production personnel.  
  • Propose improvements for safety and ergonomics.
  • Develop process improvement projects based on 1- or 2-year paybacks.
  • Estimate and/or establish costs of new or existing products or projects.
  • Create, edit, delete, and prove out ISO/EIA CNC programs created from existing programs.
  • Maintain the 6S program throughout the shop.
  • Conduct and develop set up times with the use of video monitoring.
  • Perform backup supervision for all the factory departments necessitating short notices schedule changes.
  • Analyze, plan, design, construct, and apply tools, methods, and procedures necessary to increase manufacturing productivity, profit, safety and ergonomics.
  • Process and create the prototypes requested by PE and Innovation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Industrial Technologies or related field; and two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
