Key Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and drug orders; prepare and dispense medications (including aseptic & cytotoxic dispensing) in a tidy and organized manner; support the maintenance of appropriate environment for dispensing, including the aseptic / cytotoxic suites in accordance with relevant standards;
• Perform other drug distribution activities as required such as topping-up of ward stock, ADC replenishment, extemporaneous drug preparation, pre-packing, drug returns, chemical waste disposal, etc;
• Support inventory management and stock transfer of drugs and related supplies; perform stock take, cycle count, expiry check, etc. to ensure efficient stock management and quality of drugs;
• Perform data entry in Pharmacy Information Systems as required for patient care and other Pharmacy functions; assist in the implementation of relevant systems / technologies and their interface with Hospital Information System;
• Handle enquiries and communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective delivery of Pharmacy Services; and
• Assist the implementation of pharmacy projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Holder of a Higher Diploma in Dispensing Studies / Pharmaceutical Dispensing or 
• Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from an institution recognised by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong for registration
• Experience in hospital pharmacy practice is preferable
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organized
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS Office applications and computer skills, familiar with Pharmacy IT systems

Compensation and Employment Terms

Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
