School Bus Driver SY 26-27

DISCLOSURE: This position is a 12-month full-time role. All candidates WITH or WITHOUT a CDL are welcomed to apply. An MVR check of your Pennsylvania Driver's License and an interview is required. All candidates will be hired in the trainee status at $16/hr until credentials/endorsements are verified and the road test is completed. For internal candidates please apply through the Employee Portal for consideration.

Operates a school bus for the School District of Philadelphia. Provides transportation to students, on regularly scheduled route, to and from school sites during the school day and after school hours, and on school-sponsored field trips. Provides transportation to School District employees from and to selected work sites.

• Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to and during tenure of employment as a Bus Driver.
 

• Effective April 1, 1992, employees must obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with a passenger and a school bus endorsement and the removal of the air brake restriction, as a condition of employment.
• Minimum age requirement is age 21
