Join a highly respected team of Acute Care Surgeons supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for a PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to work alongside experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced inpatient environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
- Full-time, inpatient APP position Monday – Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
- Average patient census of approximately 15 patients per day
- Collaborative team-based practice with experienced surgeons and APPs Opportunity to manage complex surgical and trauma patients
- Work within a premier Level I Trauma Center
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients
- →Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care
- →Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care discussions
- →Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
- →Manage patient admissions, consults, and follow-up care as appropriate
- →Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care and documentation
- Certified as a PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification
- Be eligible for or possess Georgia licensure
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment
- Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Possess a passion for trauma and acute care surgery

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside highly respected acute care surgeons within a Level I Trauma Center. Providers enjoy meaningful clinical work, strong physician collaboration, and the ability to make a direct impact on patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment.
This position is based at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center and supports inpatient General Surgery and Trauma Surgery services. The facility is recognized for delivering high-quality acute and trauma care while fostering a collaborative environment for providers and staff.
