Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Colorectal Surgery

Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant to join our growing Colorectal Surgery team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to practice across the clinic, operating room, and inpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative group of six physicians and two APPs. The APP will provide comprehensive support to the Colorectal Surgery team, assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgical treatment.

• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Hybrid inpatient and outpatient practice
• Day shift schedule
• Clinic Hours:
  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Assist surgeons in clinic, the operating room, and inpatient care settings
• Approximately two operating room days per week with up to eight surgical cases
• Average inpatient census/admissions of five patients per provider
• Hospital privileges required at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center

• →Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits in the outpatient clinic
• →Participate in inpatient rounds and management of colorectal surgery patients
• →Assist surgeons in the operating room
• →Coordinate patient care across the continuum of treatment
• →Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
• →Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the electronic medical record

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
• Eligible for Georgia licensure
• Eligible for hospital privileges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Previous surgical, colorectal, oncology, or inpatient experience is preferred but not required
