Responsibilities

Provides essential services necessary to enhance customer relations by responding to needs and requests of patient’ families, visitors, employees, physicians, and other guests in providing locations and directional information.

Responsible for managing and executing Emergency Response System calls.

Contacts security to request transportation for guests and staff and provides wheelchairs as needed.

Maintains clergy visitation log and distributes clergy parking passes.

Secures and solicits information regarding location and times of various conferences/seminars occurring withing the hospital/physician offices.

Validates presence of NDNI patients.
- →
Monitors fire alarm panels, contacts fire department and initiates Code Red procedures as appropriate.

Facilitate staff and medical pages utilizing X-Tend paging system. Manages pager status codes, announces computer system downtimes, and makes announcements as requested.

Identifies and directs problematic situations to Communication Services Coordinator for evaluation and investigation.

Identifies and addresses compliance issues with customers entering the premises, I.E, smoking and cell phone policies, etc.

~1 min readMust be able to use visual acuity to see monitor screen, computer and hard copy materials.
Must be able to hear and verbally communicate in person and over the phone or radio.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (up to 2 hours).
Must be able to comprehend and learn operation of various office equipment.
Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength of 50-60 pound specific to job evaluation.
Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and apply proper body mechanics during the transfers and transport supplies and/or equipment using proper body mechanics.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pound specific to job evaluation.
