Hepatology PA/NP

Mon-Fri dayshift clinic hours - 8-4:30

We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, preferably with a background in GI, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine, to join our established hepatology practice in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will find a supportive leadership team and excellent colleagues in a team-oriented environment.

• This is mainly outpatient care, Monday-Fridays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.  However, there may be occasional inpatient coverage on Monday-Fridays several times a year. 
• 4.5 clinic days per week
• 0.5 administrative time
• Patient volume: 12-14.

• Morehead Medical Plaza office location
• Team includes 5 MDs, 3 APP at the site
• Supportive leadership team, highly experienced colleagues

• →Provide hepatology care to adult patients
• →Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and APP colleagues
• →Participate in team-based care delivery and clinical coordination
• →Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience
• →Provide hepatology care to adult patients

• Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• North Carolina licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum of 2 years of APP experience required
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Experienced APPs with at least 2 years of gastroenterology, hepatology/transplant or internal medicine experience are preferred.
• State Licensure Requirement:  NC.
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.  
• Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
• APP who demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• APP who can prioritize and make proactive decisions.
